Top Dinner Destanations in Nashville

Lockeland Table

There are few places as warm and inviting as Lockeland Table located in East Nashville.  The restaurant is a small space with a wood fire grill, local bar, and cozy seating.  The menu was crafted from Chef Hal’s upbringing and farm-to-table influences.  You’ll find rustic, hearty menu items with a Southern and Italian flair.  You cannot go wrong with a single menu item, but we’re big fans of the Pork & Shrimp Dumplings, the Margherita pizza, and the Olive & Sinclair Chocolate Chip Skillet.  Be sure to check out their Community Hour, Monday through Saturday from 4pm to 6pm.  Address: 1520 Woodland St, Nashville TN 37206

It’s not easy to find high quality sushi in the middle of the country, but you’ll find it at Virago.  They’ve escalated sushi and cocktails to an art form and the atmosphere is sleek and sophisticated.  Ideal for date nights, business dinners, and girl’s nights out, we recommend the V2 Edamame, Dynamite roll, and Fuji Apple Saketini. Don’t miss their half-priced menu on Maki Saki Monday.  Address: 1126 McGavock St., Nashville TN 37203

Butchertown Hall

The warmth of Southern hospitality is at its best in this gorgeous restaurant space in Germantown area.  The menu is derived from wood-fired cooking techniques with a large assortment of meat, sandwiches, Tex-Mex favorites, and delicious side dishes.  You will also find an extensive drink list and locally crafted small-batch brews made just for Butchertown Hall from Nashville’s finest breweries.  Address: 1416  4th Ave N, Nashville TN 37208

Pizza never tasted so good.  This Italian pizzeria in Midtown serves up some of the best pizzas in town made from scratch from imported ingredients.  Watch your pizza being made while you find a seat at one of their community style tables.  This no-frills spot is a popular one and there’s a good reason for it.  Try their most famous pizza, the San Gennaro, topped with tomato sauce, sausage, peppadews, garlic, caramelized onions, and three different kinds of cheeses.  Address: 115  16th Avenue South, Nashville TN 37203

The Catbird Seat

The most unique culinary experiences in Nashville can be found at the Catbird Seat if you are lucky enough to get a reservation in advance (seats open each day for reservations 30 days out).  This simple white room is perched above a speakeasy in Midtown in an inconspicuous building that you would miss if you weren’t looking for it.  The U-Shaped counter surrounds an open kitchen where you will watch all 9 courses prepared for you with incredible detail.  Each course comes with a professional drink pairing of your choice from either alcoholic or nonalcoholic options.  This is an experience for the serious foodie.  Allow two hours for your meal and plan on leaving with a copy of that evening’s handwritten menu as your parting gift to commemorate the experience.  Address: 1711 Division St, Nashville TN 37203
